The Harmonized System (HS) is a world-wide classification system used in international trade. 200+ countries, which represent approximately 98 percent of world trade, use HS codes for customs tariffs and international trade compliance. HS compliance is the requisite classification and declaration of goods coming into or leaving each country. Each product (SKU) or commodity may have many country-specific HS Codes.
